Very challenging, but once you get over the hump it's not particularly long, but you can go for Rome as well. Tried it many times, but being successful is probably the most of rewarding of them all. and I should note, like Poland and Castille, that have many of their own, you can likely pick up quite a few of the easier achievement as well along the way.Īnd, well, Byz is always fun. Idea group choices really matter a lot in the run. Note the full achievement run makes for almost a full game, and I got the full game achievement (forget name) on that run for that matter. Poland is another I think must play achievement run that can net you at least 5 on its own, and probably some others as well. It was challenging, fun and rewarding IMO. But I enjoyed the process of taking over South American while Reforming the Religion and Westernizing (at the time). Granted the achievement has changed a tad with Institutions (and I don't have RoM yet).

Never played custom nations before the achievements were available, and would not otherwise.Īs mentioned above, Castille>Spain has a lot of achievements you can get, and although I did I think at least two games with them on achievement runs, I think the last one I got about 7 achievements out of that alone. Completed Idea Guys and Rekindle, and currently doing FCFS and Odin. I also had fun with Lucky Lucca and Strait Talk, though in both cases I used an "Exodus-to-South-Africa" strategy to survive.

I don't even remember them all now, but I know I got Blackjack (the original goal of the campaign), both the ones for becoming emperor (the generic one and the Spain-specific one), Imperio español, Trade Hegemon, Guarantor of Peace (after pushing France to Bermuda, taking back the Holy Land from the Ottomans, and a late-game tussle with Russia), and Neither Holy Nor German (by releasing single-province client state republics around the Mediterranean and making theme free cities). It's not a hard nation, but Castille -> Spain is set up for a lot of achievements my campaign with them in 1.17 got me something like 10 or 12 achievements, easily the most of any game. I'll second First Come, First Serve and Ideas Guy, as I got them both in the same run and had a lot of fun doing it.
